Hyoubaku

The expression "silent cascade" is taken from Gengi Monotogari, where the superposition of seasons is a recurring motif.

The Japanese garden of the Great Seaport of Le Havre reveals the passage of the seasons, from budding to decomposition. It proposes an off-center wandering around a void.

Hyoubaku is a series of drawings, on a very thin paper, that the wood of the badly sharpened pencil easily lacerates, and a performance with the dancer and choreographer Margot Dorléans, during which the components of the garden (the air, the rock, the water) are used as support to the paper, leading the drawing until its disappearance.
